New album and concert with big band Gafieira Rio Miami
Beleza Pura – that’s the title of the second album by Gafieira Rio Miami, the big band of 11 sensational musicians that has been winning fans worldwide since they emerged in Florida four years ago. On Saturday, November 8th, at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Ft. Lauderdale, there will be a special concert to celebrate the new release, which is available now on all streaming platforms. Produced by Diogo Brown and Gene De Souza, the album contains 10 tracks that express the joyful, powerful, and captivating sound of Gafieira Rio Miami. Beleza Pura also features phenomenal special guests, including Roberta Sá, Luciana Mello, YamanduCosta, Antonio Adolfo, and Nestor Torres. Two other artists who participated in the recordings will be special guests at the concert – sensational percussionist Tony Succar, a two-time GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY winner, and the electrifying salsa singer Eylen Remon. In addition, there will be gafieira dancers showcasing their jaw-dropping moves.
Led by bassist Diogo Brown, the band features a powerful horn section, samba percussion, and the beautiful voice of Isa Duarte. After their debut release, Bring Back Samba (2023), Gafieira Rio Miami gained prominence in the press in the United States and Brazil, with excellent reviews in media outlets such as NPR, Jazz Weekly, G1, and O Globo. With a joyous live energy, the band has already performed sold-out shows at the best theaters in Florida, such as Pinecrest Gardens, Arts Garage, Faena Theater and Judson’s Live. Gafieira Rio Miami has also performed in Chicago, Reno, and at the legendary Lincoln Center in New York. Now it’s the Broward Center’s turn to feel the vibrant energy of this wonderful and unique band.
